After completing intense certification in Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, Lateral Thinking, and Direct Attention Thinking Tools, Dr. Schreier was invited to participate, as part of only nine individuals worldwide, in an advanced workshop with Dr. de Bono.  For three days, with similarly selected individuals, these nine individuals worked directly with Edward de Bono to practice and apply the de Bono thinking tools to a variety of situations.

Effective facilitation has always required an awareness of underlying communication skills and techniques.  Dr. Schreier’s professional training in counseling, organizational development, and human resources had already put him in a position where he was asked to facilitate meetings for clients.  Adding Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, Lateral Thinking, and Direct Attention Thinking Tools to the facilitation process dramatically increases the power — and potential — for effective sessions.

Although “Facilitation Services” are occasionally structured as part of other training or consulting events, i.e., strategic planning sessions, they are more commonly structured as hourly services.
