Rebuilding Louisiana

Following Hurricane Katrina, both Jim and Andrew Schreier participated in a special 2-Day Implications Wheel event for “Rebuilding Louisiana.”  Led by futurist Joel Barker, over 400 citizens examined issues related to health care, education, community development, and infrastructure.

YMCA World Youth Camp

More than 100 YMCA Youth Leaders, from around the world, gathered in Hawaii in the summer of 2007 for the YMCA World Camp.  Joel Barker, Jim Schreier, and Andrew Schreier led the group in an Implications Wheel exploration on the possibility of creating a new “world language.”

President Bush’s Conference on School Violence

• Dr. Schreier was invited to participate in President George W. Bush’s Summit on School Violence in 2006.  He was then selected to address the conference and spoke directly to the point that young people committing acts of school violence clearly don’t foresee the “consequences” of their actions.

 

Listening to the City

• In 2002, Dr. Schreier was one of almost 500 skilled faciitators selected from all 50 states to participate in New York’s “Listening to the City” event on the plans for the World Trade Center site.
